Kim Seon Ho, one of the stars of the hit Korean series Start-Up, has been quite busy in recent months as he is set to release his first single, as well as prepare for a new K-Drama with actress Shin Min-a. The actor could also end up winning an acting trophy at the Baeksan Arts Awards.

SALT Entertainment, Kim's management, announced his upcoming solo track "Because It's You," which is a collaboration with the one-man band, Epitone Project. He previously worked with the musical group as he starred in their music video, "Sleepless," which was released in 2020.

Working as a singer, however, isn't a first for Kim as he did a group song with the stars of Waikiki for the movie's soundtrack, which was released in 2019. But he could not pass up the chance to collaborate with Epitone Project after they did "Sleepless."

Kim's management said that "Because It's You" is a gift to his fans. The single is described as a mellow pop song done on acoustic with Kim helping in crafting some of the lines of the song. The single is set to be released on May 6 in Korea.

Meanwhile, the actor will follow up the success of Start-Up with Seaside Village Chachacha, a remake of the 2004 movie that starred Uhm Jung-Hwa and Kim Ju-Hyeok. Kim will be paired with Shin Min-a for this series.

The project has been described as the perfect romantic comedy that will highlight the chemistry between Kim and Shin to make the viewers' hearts flutter. The plot of the series involves a woman who uproots her life to the seaside village and develops a friendship with the village's jack of all trades.

The series is expected to premiere on tVN in the latter half of 2021 but it's still uncertain if the series will eventually stream on Netflix, just like Start-Up.

Speaking of Start-Up, Kim is also up for an acting award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony honoring the best performances on South Korean TV and movies. He's nominated alongside Kim Soo-hyun (It's Okay To Not Be Okay) and Song Joong-ki (Vincenzo).

Kim started his acting career on stage and did various plays before he debuted at the movies. But it was in the series Start-Up that Kim made a name for himself across the global scene. Winners of the Baeksang Arts Awards will be known on May 13 in a live, televised event in South Korea.
