Powerhouse pop music acts BTS and Justin Bieber are set to collaborate on a new song together following the merger of their recording companies.

According to Page Six, BTS and Bieber have been taking their time to make new music to ensure that they get the song release right. However, there are plans that this new song could form part of Bieber's upcoming Justice album so its debut could be coming in a matter of weeks.

The news of the collaboration, however, isn't surprising since the recording companies handling BTS and Bieber have joined forces early this year. South Korea's Big Hit Entertainment bought Ithaca Holdings, owned by Scooter Braun, who is Bieber's manager, for $1 billion to form HYBE.

Braun is also the manager of music artists like Ariana Grande, J Balvin and Demi Lovato, which means that they could also be collaborating with BTS in the future. It's been part of HYBE's plan to grow and expand its roster of talents and create a positive influence in the world.

Even if Bieber and BTS are not under the same recording label, their paths will eventually cross and a collaboration won't be farfetched. In 2020, Bieber acknowledged the success of BTS while speaking to Entertainment Tonight. He said that the K-pop group has done impressively, shattering various records in the global charts.

The Canadian pop star also posted TikTok videos of himself lip-syncing to many of BTS's popular songs. BTS member Jungkook, on the other hand, is not shy about admitting that Bieber was one of his musical influences and that he has enjoyed his music from the very start of Bieber's career.

Meanwhile, BTS is due to release a new English song this summer with "Butter." The track is expected to hit the airwaves on May 21 and it's the second full English song from the band after the success of "Dynamite."

"Butter" is rumored to be part of an upcoming BTS album. While details are still scarce, fans are speculating that this new song with Bieber will also be included in the upcoming project.

The group will also release a Japanese compilation album, titled BTS: The Best. This set is expected to be another record-breaker in the sales charts.

Bieber, on the other hand, has been promoting the release of Justice, which will be his sixth studio album. The young singer has been performing and guest appearing in various talk shows in recent weeks.
