Box office actor Johnny Depp is facing another lawsuit for allegedly punching one of the location managers for his upcoming film ‘City of Lies’ which is set to be released this Sept. 7 in the U.S.
In his affidavit of complaint which was filed Friday at Los Angeles County Superior Court, Gregg “Rocky” Brooks said that the 55-year old actor was furious when he informed Depp that the last take would be the last outdoor shoot because of legal permits using the hotel’s premises.
The film was shooting inside and outside the Barclay Hotel, Los Angeles in April 2017 when the incident happened.
Brooks said that he informed first film director Brad Furman about the concern, but the latter urged him to directly tell Depp that the shooting has to end. Anticipating that Depp might get upset, Brooks said that he sought the assistance of the on-set Los Angeles police when Depp already furiously approached and screamed at him.
According to the lawsuit, Depp shouted to Brooks “Who the f*C* are you? You have no right to tell me what to do!” while his bodyguards were pulling him away.
The lawsuit further cited that Depp even got more furious when Brooks did not fight back.
“I will give you 100,000 dollars to punch me in the face right now,” Depp allegedly yelled to Brooks.
Brooks also said that Depp punched him twice hard at the lower left of his rib cage and shouted profanities. He averred that Depp smelled alcohol and seemed to be intoxicated.
Brooks added that he was also fired from work when he refused to sign an affidavit that said he would not sue Depp over the incident. According to Brooks, he suffered physical and mental pain as well as public humiliation due to the incident.
As of the moment, Depp’s camp remained silent over this allegation.
