The Huawei Mate 20 Lite is expected to make its round soon, Based on a recent spotting, it seems to be following the script of its predecessor, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. This is the same device that was released ahead of the Mate 10 series, and the same seems to be happening again.
A listing of the Maimang 7 appeared on TENAA listings according to Gizmo China, and it is likely to be known in the European market as the Huawei Mate 20 Lite. But aside from that, the fact that it has appeared in listings hints at its potential availability in China as well.
Though it would have helped if some of the specs the device would carry were given, the only thing folks can see for now are the model numbers at the TENAA listing. There is a new Huawei phone bearing the model number SNE-AL00, believed to be the Maimang 7 and one of the multiple devices coming out under the Mate 20 Lite series. The other model numbers were SN-AL00B, SNE-LX1, SNE-LX2, SNE-LX3, and SNE-TL00.
Little can be depicted from the gathered photos. The front part seems to sport another bezel-less display with a dual front-facing camera and notched display. The rear portion of the device seems to show a dual-camera setup.
With regards to the camera of the Huawei Mate 20, there is a chance that it justifies a previous report from Gizmo China that the device will come armed with a 3D structured light module. This could explain the back design of the device which seems to be shielded in glass and has that familiar fingerprint scanner as well.
Aside from those observations, other specs remain afloat. Seeing how the Mate 10 came with a Kirin chipset, it is likely that the Maimang 7 could come with a Kirin 710 SoC. It could also run on EMUI 9 based on Android 9.0 P.
Rumors claim that the Mate 20 could arrive with a triple camera setup and feature an ARM Mali GPU. The cameras could feature a 12 MP + 20 MP + 8 MP setup, all likely to be engineered by Leica. As for the processor, there is a chance that it could make use of a Kirin 980 SoC which can reportedly deliver a maximum clocking speed of 2.8 GHz.
Finally, the Mate 20 could also make use of advanced biometric security features buzzing to date. This is about the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, something that was mentioned previously in an article.
