Nicki Minaj decided to take to Twitter to complain about her brand-new album being beaten by Travis Scott on US charts. Apparently, the name Kylie Jenner is involved.
According to Cosmopolitan, the "Barbie Tingz" singer blames Kim Kardashian's sister for losing the top spot on the said charts. Basically, Scott's own, new album titled "Astroworld" managed to top the Billboard Album charts this week. Nicki Minaj's "Queen," on the other hand, fell in the second spot.
The "Anaconda" rapper reposted one of Jenner's posts on Instagram, which promoted her boyfriend's upcoming tour. Minaj believes that it is the sole reason behind Scott's soaring album sales.
Spotify put drake’s face on every playlist but told me they’d have to teach me a lesson for playing my music 10 mins early on #QueenRadio. Even tho they’ve been giving away my music for free for years & I am one of the top Spotify artists of all time. — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) August 19, 2018
Spotify had to teach me a lesson but rewarded the man who has had an Apple radio show the longest; inadvertently helping the Apple platform the most. Oh I can’t wait for #QueenRadio on Tuesday. They took away my promotion they had promised for the 1st cpl days b/c of this. #Queen — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) August 19, 2018
I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans. — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) August 19, 2018
"I put my blood, sweat and tears into writing a dope album, only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling people to come see her and Stormi," she wrote.
In the post, Jenner, who has over 113 million followers on Instagram, said that she and her daughter were "ready for tour." Minaj, on the other hand, said, "I'm actually laughing."
Nicki Minaj added that her new album managed to break the record of being "number one in 86 countries." Not only did she "thank Jesus," but she also went to show her appreciation to her fans.
Apparently, she was not done yet. She even went to call out Scott and talked to him about the charts, TMZ reports. She claims that the American rapper knows that he does not have the number one album this week.
During her rant on Twitter, Minaj also complained about Spotify's service. She said that the music streaming service allegedly wanted to teach her a lesson after releasing the album a bit early. As a result, the platform "took away the promotion" that had already been promised to her in the first place. She added that the situation only worsened after Jenner promised her fans to introduce Stormi to them during the tour.
