Legoland unveils plans to build its biggest-ever theme park in New York which is slated to open to the public in Spring 2020. The park will reportedly feature eight themed Lego "lands" and a Legoland Hotel for accommodation.
Cited over at Pop Sugar, the press release from Legoland New York's Public Relations Manager, Matt Besterman, indicates that the upcoming Legoland New York will feature more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions in its 150-acre theme park.
It will be located in Goshen, New York, which is 60 miles northwest of New York City.
According to Besterman, this new Legoland offering will be the "first major theme park in decades to be built in the northeast." Its primary goal is to accommodate visitors coming from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
The Eight Wonders of Legoland New York
Each of the eight featured lands will be built entirely from Lego bricks. Guests, meanwhile, will begin their journey into the park at The Factory where they get to experience a ride exclusive only to the Legoland New York called the Great Lego Adventure. Young and adult visitors alike will get to see here the process of making a Lego Minifigure.
Next stop is the Bricktopia. Here, guests can take their creativity to the limits as they get to make and build their own Lego creations. At the Earthquake Table, the challenge is to make the highest tower that won't fall down. In this section of the park will also be found the Imagination Celebration ride and the Stepping Stones Lego Instruments.
The NINJAGO World, meanwhile, will satiate everyone's fantasy of becoming a ninja. Going through this section, guests will get to learn to play the Spinjitzu - a Lego spinning top toy. Meanwhile, a NINJAGO ride will then see the park goers defeat the Great Devourer using nothing but only their hands.
Another spot to visit is the Heartlake City, where LEGO characters Emma, Olivia, Stephanie, Andrea, and Mia can be found. Guests will also be able to take a balloon ride to see the Pinefall Woods.
Knights' Kingdom, meanwhile, is the home of the LEGO Castle - the land where guests are treated with a royal welcome. Found here is the Dragon Coaster ride.
The LEGO City is the home of the minifigures where the young ones can play as LEGO City firefighter or learn to drive at the LEGO Driving School.
The Pirate Shores, on the other hand, is where guests can get their water park fix through the Rogue Wave Riders.
Finally, the Miniland is in the heart of the Legoland Park. Here featured is a giant panorama of miniature cities built from Legos.
