Michael Schumacher’s state continues to be a well-kept secret to most since that unfortunate skiing accident back in 2013. Updates have been limited with the family requesting for privacy as the iconic Formula One driver recuperates from the near-death experience.

Schumacher’s health has been branded as one of the world’s best-kept secrets although some outlets have tried to penetrate that bubble. Most have been flagged down by the Schumacher family, some cases of which reached legal actions.

Regardless, some of the speculations made by several parties make a bit of sense. Some are tied up to allegations by lawyers that Schumacher had a hard time walking, standing alone or even speaking. The stories have been recurring although nothing was really confirmed for obvious reasons.

But now as Schumacher heads into the fifth year of that tragedy, fresh details have come out on the real score of the F1 racing legend. According to a report by Paris Match, several medical specialists and personnel have taken turns visiting Schumacher at his home in Lake Geneva. For those who have followed updates on Schumi, these may not necessarily be new. But the report does go a bit into detail.

The report details the rehabilitation and therapy sessions that Schumacher has been undergoing. This includes playing sounds of high-pitched F1 engines and one where he is encouraged to steer a Volkswagen Golf around the villa. The aim is to hopefully get the retired race car champion to reignite some memories of his past, News.com.au said.

The rehabilitation efforts have reportedly made progress although in smalls steps. One of the things Schumacher could do now was to sketch a few gestures in his aquatic pool. Aside from that, Schumi allegedly breaks down in emotion at times, something that previous reports claimed in the past years.

“When you put him in his wheelchair facing the magnificent panorama of the mountains overlooking the lake, Michael sometimes cries,” Paris Match said.

The new details provide a better picture of where Schumacher is at right now in terms of recovering from that dreaded skiing accident. The medical bills are expected to escalate and there were even reports in previous years that Corinna Schumacher was selling some of the assets that his husband may never enjoy again.

Surprisingly, a report back in July says otherwise with Corinna Schumacher reportedly buying a £27million Majorca mansion that comes with two pools and a helipad. It was initially believed to be a holiday home although some alleged that it could be a place where the Schumacher's would be moving. Official spokesperson Sabine Kehm denied scoffed these reports, said News.com.au.
