Toyota Land Cruiser was launched in 2007 and many are wondering, when will the new model arrive? It is worth mentioning that the current model of the Land Cruiser, familiarly known as "LC200" has been through a series of production for 11 years, with only several facelifts.

According to AutoIndustriya.com, a Japanese Magazine called "Best Car" revealed that the 9th generation model will potentially be revealed by mid-2020. Therefore, people are expected to see even just a glimpse of the new model in 2019. With this, the big question is what's in store for us when the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser arrives?

The above-mentioned source revealed that there will be revisions to the iconic vehicle. As Best Car pointed out, the new model will remain with the traditional body on frame construction. However, to be more rigid than the present one, it will ride on an all-new platform.

Next-generation consumers of the new model can expect that the Land Cruiser won't go soft this time. Unfortunately, one detail might not work for the fanatics of this brand.

They may be dropping the V8 option for this huge SUV. A turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 will be used instead of the eight-cylinder motor. It can also be found in Lexus LS 500. Other modifications are:

1. A Hybrid will potentially join the range, which may be sourced from Crown Hybrid.

2. The crown hybrid is using 3.5 liter V6 as well, which is supplemented by electric motors.

If this happens, a Land Cruiser possessing a hybrid powertrain will happen for the first time. As for the fuel, it is yet to be revealed if they will carry a diesel option in the ninth generation model. Considering all these details, Toyota is not confirming nor denying, what the Land Cruiser would be like.

In the end, it is a delight that the prominent Japanese carmaker won't be phasing out their iconic creation. Land Cruiser is a famous 4x4 around the world, so many hope it would stick for more years and even decades.
