Kjeldsens Faces Charges for Claims against Danisa
According to the South China Morning Post, Danisa and Kjeldsens are long-time competitors in the industry as both had a fair share of wins in the market. However, Danisa is seemingly over all competitions as they filed a case against Kjeldsens. This is after the latter tried to debunk the former's claim that their cookies are made from Denmark.
The case refers to a write-up written last February where people are getting cookies as gifts for their family and friends. The article made was partnered with a video showing an interview with Kjeldsens CEO Brian Rønsholdt. In the interview made, Ronsholdt gave different facts regarding the cookies made in Hong Kong. However, everything went a little strange when the CEO admitted that Danisa is throwing off false marketing to its audience.
He said that Danisa is using false advertisements for their audience to entice them to buy their products. Ronsholdt admitted that they kept claiming that their cookies are made from Denmark, when in fact they are all manufactured in Indonesia. He also revealed that Danisa is not even true about the things they have put into their packaging. The CEO said that all their butter contents and flavoring materials weren't true as they are using preservatives and artificial coloring in their cookies. Aside from that, he also revealed that Danisa is running a scam in Indonesia, making them unreliable as they breached different local laws of the country.
Danisa Fights Back, Debunk All Rumors Claimed By Kjeldsens
Meanwhile, Danisa already gave its statement regarding the claims made by Kjeldsens. They told that everything was just a way of promoting the latter in response to a great demand for cookies during that time.
According to Yahoo, the lawyers explained that Danisa has proofs that they have a manufacturing plant in Denmark, with almost 40 staff members and automated production lines. The cookies that were made in Indonesia were packaged differently, removing the Danish flags and claims that it is made in Denmark.
Because of the article made, the business reputation of Danisa was greatly affected as it suffered from loss and damages. The company is serious in filing charges against Kjeldsens regarding this matter.
