After more than six decades of sobriety, Disneyland has finally made the move to allow the sale of beers and liquors within its theme park grounds starting next year.
According to a report from Fox Business, the Disneyland in California will be the first to serve alcohol in 2019, the first time that it will do since its opening in 1955.
As further specified in the report, wines and spirits will soon come free flowing in the upcoming Star Wars Land, particularly in Galaxy's Edge where Oga's infamous Cantina can be found.
Fans of George Lucas' "Star Wars" epic saga may remember the hole in the wall in one of the movies in the series particularly the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The said establishment, which is still under construction, is aimed to offer a full immersive Star Wars experience to fans and park-goers.
Citing the statement from Disney's latest press release, patrons from all over the galaxy will finally get to sample Oga Garra's "famous concoctions" which were created using exotic ingredients coming from the different corners of the universe and with methods considered to be "otherworldly."
Oga, according to this report, is one of the many new faces in the Star Wars fictional universe. The character is described as a mysterious "alien proprietor" of the said establishment.
Drinks such as beer, wine, and other types of booze will soon be served in bizarre cups and glasses that will surely pique the interest of park visitors. There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices to be made available in Oga's Cantina. It is noted though that beverage could only be consumed within the premises of the bar.
Aside from the drinks, the Star Wars experience will also be complete with musical entertainment performed at the cantina. It will be provided by RX-24, a pilot droid first known in Star Tours.
At the Galaxy's Edge, visitors could also travel around to see other exotic places such as Baatu and the Black Spires, this report noted.
Speaking of rides, there will also be a "dark ride" where visitors can go through the lore of Oga's place. Most of all, fans will finally be able to come aboard and pilot the famous Millennium Falcon in Galaxy's Edge.
The said spacecraft is one of the many staples of the Star Wars universe. It was once piloted by Harrison Ford's Han Solo and is now under the care of Daisy Ridley's Rey.
