Angelina Jolie reportedly regrets starting a relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt, according to a new claim. This story, however, has been debunked.

An article from HollywoodLife with a headline, "Angelina Jolie Wants Brad Pitt 'Out Of Her Life' For Good: She 'Regrets' Ever Starting A Relationship With Him," claims Jolie regrets why "she ever had a romance with the actor in the first place."

The "insider" of the magazine quoted, "The days of Angelina missing Brad have well and truly passed, all she wants now is for him to be out of her life, period."

Just less than two weeks ago, the same blog also maintained Jolie "fears" she will never be able to "replace" Pitt - particularly in the bedroom. That article contends she "still going to miss him - in more ways than one," although they had on-going issues.

And now, in the new claim of the outlet, its latest "insider" asserted, "Angelina really resents having anything to do with Brad, and wishes she could just forget he even exists." The alleged tipster also acknowledged, "because of the children she's not allowed to do that, and he's going to have to remain a part of her life for at least the foreseeable future."

The two articles seemed to contradict the claims of each other.

According to Gossip Cop, the truth is Jolie is grateful for her relationship with Pitt as it led to the children whom she loves so deeply. The publication failed to mention that their children are exactly the reason why Jolie would never regret having a relationship with Pitt. It's not possible that a real "insider" would confer such claims, regardless of the animosity between Jolie and Pitt.

Jolie had already adopted son Maddox before having a relationship with Pitt. But, he became involved in the adoptions of both daughter Zahara and son Pax. The ex-couple also had biological children: daughter Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. If the idea that Jolie's "regretting that she ever had a romance with the actor in the first place," that would only mean she also regrets the children borne out of that romance.

Last week, PEOPLE reported Jolie splits from her lawyer as she wanted to remain focus first on "healing her family" - a transition to new counsel in her ongoing divorce with Brad Pitt.

"Angelina has decided to change counsel to Samantha Bley Dejean, as Samantha's expertise is the protection and best interest of children," Mindy Nyby, Jolie's spokesperson, tells PEOPLE.
