There is an ongoing story about celebrity couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth not getting married. It was manufactured by the same outlet that has falsely claimed about the two not tying the knot in the past. Hence, it is a made-up narrative.

According to an online tabloid Hollywood Life, one of Cyrus' friends mentioned about the pair having no plans of getting married. The so-called source was quoted saying, "One of Miley Cyrus' friends tells us exclusively that Miley and Liam have NO plans to get married right now!"

It is even alleged that the pop star is asking for a cue from her "role models," namely, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The insider added that the American singer-songwriter is contemplating about the idea of just staying together for the rest of their lives without a marriage certificate. The purported "friend" is quoted as saying, "Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are so rock and roll - they've been together for so many years, like decades, but never actually got married."

For Cyrus, it is "hot", and she says she and Liam would love to do the same thing. The publication's alleged tipster goes on to claim that they see themselves already married. "They refer to each other like they are, too, so it's a bit confusing. But Miley swears they haven't actually tied the knot, and she says they may never do it."

There are several reasons why the story appears to be manufactured. For starters, a couple of times in recent years the site falsely claimed that Cyrus and Hemsworth have wed. Plus, the couple decided to make it a "secret wedding," which was said to have taken place over Christmas 2012. In the summer of 2016, the online tabloid once again claimed the lovers were "already married," but had kept the marriage hidden from fans.

Gossip Cop, however, clarified that this "wedding" narrative is false, including the claims the aforementioned publication did in the past few years. In reality, the two are still not married. And if the site's supposed tipster is telling the truth, it would have known about what happened in the past.

The second reason is that Cyrus has never mentioned anything about Hawn and Russell being her "role models." Add to this the fact that the website has used this comparison before, particularly in a 2017 story about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's decision not to get married.

In that article, another so-called "source" was claiming that the couple would usually bring up about how they could be the modern-day version of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. It is not a coincidence that the site, which is infamous for false narratives featuring celebrity couples, is now being applied to Cyrus and Hemsworth.
