A new star is about to join the latest cast members of "The Crown" Season 3. Netflix announced on Twitter on Tuesday, October 23, the coming of Emerald Fennel to play the role of the young Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

"Emerald Fennell will play Camilla Shand in 'The Crown' Season Three," the Netflix's announcement read. The 33-year-old star was already spotted filming for "The Crown" Season 3 with the new Prince Charles actor Josh O'Connor, previously Julian Baring.

"I'm absolutely over the moon, and completely terrified, to be joining so many hugely talented people on 'The Crown,'" Emerald Fennell said in a statement about her new role in "The Crown" Season 3, per E! News. "The Danish Girl" star revealed she personally love Camilla and felt grateful that her teenage years prepared her to play the role of the Duchess of Cornwall, whom she described a "chain-smoking serial snogger with a pudding bowl haircut."

"The Crown" Season 3 will feature the beginning of Prince Charles and Camilla's romance. Recent photos from the show's set revealed Emerald Fennell and Josh O'Connor recreated the pair's iconic snap from 1975. At the time, they got caught standing by a tree together at a polo match after they parted ways in 1973 when the prince joined the Royal Navy.

The show's every season features a decade of the characters' lives. So fans are about to see new faces in "The Crown" Season 3 after two seasons as the cast members will get all replaced.

People reported that Erin Doherty would play the role of Princess Anne in "The Crown" Season 3 after Lyla Barrett-Rye. Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies would take the roles of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to replace Claire Foy and Matt Smith until Season 4. Helena Bonham Carter will also take Princess Margaret after Vanessa Kirby, and Ben Daniels would play the part of her husband, Lord Snowdon, and replaced Matthew Goode.

Netflix will be jumping forward in time every few seasons to reveal the major events of Queen Elizabeth's life and reign. However, it remains to be unknown what year "The Crown" Season 3 picks up. One of the key moments the show will feature is the breakdown of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon's relationship. The two got divorced in 1978 while the previous season ended in 1964.

"The Crown" Season 3 started filming in July. It is set to be released sometime in 2019 on Netflix.
