The half-sister of Meghan Markle, Samantha Grant, wasn't happy over the recent speech of the Duchess of Sussex regarding university tuition fees in Fiji. On Wednesday, Markle had a speech at the University of the South Pacific where she talked about the value and importance a college education and what it takes to complete a degree.

Markle said she's aware of the challenges of going to school as she experienced it herself. The Duchess of Sussex, who attended Northwestern University, was able to go to college and afford her tuition fees through financial aid programs, scholarship, and earning from her campus job, saying everything was worth every effort.

However, Grant felt something's missing about her sister's speech - as she forgot to mention their father, Thomas Markle - because he supported her college education. On Thursday, she went on Twitter and posted: "There was no scholarship, no grant, or financial aid program involved. The speech was a lie."

According to HuffPost, Grant has a history of publicly bashing Markle and always accusing her of disrespecting their father. Ever since Markle got engaged to Prince Harry, she frequently slammed her sister including for not being invited at the royal wedding, not contacting their father, and even blamed the Duchess of Sussex if their father dies.

In her latest accusation though about Markel's college education, Grant didn't cite any evidence to prove that her half-sister was lying about paying her university tuition fees. Jon Yates, Northwestern's director of media relations, couldn't also give comments (due to federal privacy laws) on how Markle paid for her college education.

Grant also called out Kensington palace last week for not mentioning their father when announcing Markle's pregnancy. The Duchess of Sussex and her father haven't reportedly talked ever since she got married to Prince Harry back in May. The palace's statement only mentioned Doria Ragland - Markle's mom - saying she's looking "forward to welcoming her first grandchild."

"I would hope that - for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad - that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional," Grant said during an interview with The Sun.

Kensington Palace has not yet responded to Grant's claims and comments. Meanwhile, Markle and Prince Harry were currently on a 16-day tour, with stops in New Zealand, Tonga, Fiji, and Australia.
