More than a week after Netflix dropped the latest episodes of "Making a Murder" Season 2, a new season might possibly come. The docuseries' creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos teased that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey's stories might continue in "Making a Murderer" Season 3.

"The story is not over," Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos said in an interview with the Australian radio show, Hit 105 FM, via LADbible. Although the show's creators didn't confirm that "Making a Murderer" Season 3 would be in the works, their statement seemed to suggest that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey's stories would continue.

So when the radio show's host asked Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos to confirm if there would be "Making a Murderer" Season 3, they said another cryptic comment. "All we can say is maybe!" the creators said.

Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos also talked about of the possibility that Steven Avery would get acquitted. The two saw "a very good chance" that he would get released from prison." Would this happen in "Making a Murderer" Season 3?

"Making a Murderer" Season 2 featured Steven Avery's new lawyer, one of the top US counsels Kathleen Zellner. She has successfully exonerated almost 20 men in the country. "The deeper we dig into the Avery conviction, the more evidence we uncover of his innocence," she said about her client's case.

As Steven Avery's case is far from over, there is a big possibility that there would be "Making a Murderer" Season 3. In fact, Kathleen Zellner said that it didn't matter how long it would take, what it would cost, and what obstacles they have to go through to free Steven Avery. But they would never stop to fight for his freedom.

From the looks of it, Kathleen Zellner would do everything to help Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey. This could possibly continue in "Making a Murderer" Season 3.

Netflix released "Making a Murderer" in 2015, per The Sun. Since then, a lot of people followed Steven Avery's case after he spent 18 years in prison for a false conviction for the alleged sexual assault of Teresa Halbach. He received $36million (£28.2million) of compensation when his conviction was overturned.

However, Steven Avery got arrested again for the murder of Teresa Halbach. The "Making a Murderer" star claimed his conviction was only based on planted evidence and false statements.

In the finale of "Making a Murderer" Season 1, Steven Avery received a sentence of life imprisonment with no parole. "Making a Murderer" Season 2, on the other hand, featured the events that happened after the trial. So fans have to wait if there would be an official announcement about "Making a Murderer" Season 3.
