Fans have been waiting for the crossover of "Better Call Saul" and "Breaking Bad" timeline. Although the prequel has been inching closer to its original show, a lot is still needed to get done in "Better Call Saul" Season 5.

"Better Call Saul" Season 4 featured a nine-month time jump in Episode 7, "Something Stupid," per Screen Rant. It also showed characters growth when Mike Ehrmentraut's (Jonathan Banks) relationship with Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) became deeper when he killed Werner Ziegler (Rainer Bock). So fans could expect they would be working closer together in "Better Call Saul" Season 5.

The previous season also showed a lot of events that would continue in "Better Call Saul" Season 5, preceding "Breaking Bad" timeline. The building of Gus' superlab started, Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) and Kim's (Rhea Seehorn) relationship was falling apart, and, of course, the much-awaited transformation of Jimmy to become Saul Goodman finally happened.

"Better Call Saul" Season 4 also introduced another Salamanca family member, Lalo (Tony Dalton), Hector's (Mark Margolis) nephew and Juárez Cartel's member. He would be "Better Call Saul" Season 5's main antagonist. Although he didn't appear in "Breaking Bad," Saul mentioned his name when Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) kidnapped him in Season 2. He reportedly would play an important role to connect the two television series.

Saul also mentioned Ignacio's name in "Breaking Bad." Although Jimmy and Ignacio, a.k.a. Nacho (Michael Mando), have yet to meet, they would probably have a few run-ins in "Better Call Saul" Season 5.

Meanwhile, aside from the timelines' crossover, fans are also waiting for the "Breaking Bad" characters', especially Walter and Jesse, appearance on its prequel. Will it finally happen in "Better Call Saul" Season 5?

In an interview with Digital Spy, Aaron Paul revealed the possibility of Jesse's appearance on "Better Call Saul." "Who knows, maybe he'll make an appearance on 'Better Call Saul,'" he said.

Aaron Paul continued to say that if the shows' creator, Vince Gilligan, asks them to appear on "Better Call Saul," they would say yes. "Just because we have such faith in him, we know he will steer us," the 39-year-old actor added.

"Better Call Saul" usually features scenes of Saul's life post-"Breaking Bad" events. So Aaron Paul teased that the prequel would also have scenes during the original timeline, so Jesse's appearance is not far to happen.
