A new report claims Christina Aguilera isn't happy her Liberation Tour had "poor sales," and received "mediocre reviews." However, this claim has been debunked and confirmed to be simply fabricated.
Star magazine recently claimed the singer is experiencing some sort of an "emotional tailspin" because of how fans and critics perceived her latest concert tour. To support its claim, the tabloid alleged Aguilera wasn't doing well in one of her recent photo shoots because she's too depressed to focus.
The so-called source of the outlet contends the singer was supposed to have a magazine interview and photoshoot in Northern California. The whole crew wanted the singer to look sultry, but she looked distracted and sad in every photo. Furthermore, Aguilera allegedly just kind of deflated because everything had piled on top of her. The tipster then added the interview and photo shoot of the singer was rescheduled as she was in a "low spirit" to even work.
"All these problems were bound to have an effect on her. I'll bet she can't wait for the tour to be over," the unnamed insider continues.
But what makes the claim suspicious, according to Gossip Cop, is that the tabloid never mentioned what magazine would be Aguilera's alleged interview and photo shoot - an important detail that should be included in the outlet's claim. In addition, there's no further information where and when this incident happened - aside from noting the photo shoot was in Northern Carolina.
Regardless, a rep for Aguilera confirmed to Gossip Cop that the Liberation Tour is actually doing well, the venues were sold out, and reviews from fans were overwhelmingly positive. The alleged "emotional tailspin" of the singer wasn't true either as her only literal tailspin is when she and her dancers were performing on stage, the rep added.
It's also worth noting that Billboard previously reported Aguilera's concert at Radio City Music Hall last month gathered glowing reviews, which was even attended by Hillary and Bill Clinton. The publication pointed out the singer's voice and energy never showed any signs of fatigue. She's also embracing what she becomes right now, making her more liberated than ever.
Obviously, as per Gossip Cop, Star magazine is only making a false claim regarding Aguilera's concert tour and has little to no insight in her career. In fact, the same tabloid has been busted back in July for wrongly reporting she'd been dropped by her record label, RCA Records, but her rep back then denied the claim and confirm there's no truth to the story.
