"Attack on Titan" is coming to an end. Japan's best anime series will be coming to a close after it has reportedly entered its final arc. After nine years since it began, fans are about to see the closure of Eren's story.
It looks like "Attack on Titan" creator, Hajime Isayama, has no plans to hinder the anime series' ending. MBS is about to reveal a very special documentary about the Japanese manga artist on its show titled "Jonetsu Tairiku" this weekend, and it is expected to reveal everything.
As a part of the show's promotion, it announced on Twitter that Hajime Isayama is now working on "Attack on Titan" final arc. In the documentary, fans can expect to see a glimpse of the creator's work as the teaser shows he is inking some pieces of his artworks.
This is not the first time that "Attack on Titan" ending has been teased. According to Comic Book, Hajime Isayama revealed in the past that he already had an "end date in mind" for the manga series. His editor, Shintaro Kawakubo, supported his revelation and said in 2014 that Eren's story would come to an end after three to four years. From the looks of it, this is the year he was pertaining to.
"Attack on Titan" current arc may be the last installment in the series, although Hajime Isayama has yet to confirm this news. So how things would unfold? After a bloody war to regain Shiganshina occurred, the Survey Scouts brought Paradis in the modern day.
Eren, on the other hand, broke into Marley all by himself. Things got worse when Marley learned Paradis' real strength. He then got into prison for rebelliousness. He is now the Survey Scouts' enemy in "Attack on Titan." However, he will still do everything to bring Marley down even if it means he has to go through his old friends.
"Attack on Titan" was first introduced in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009, per Anime News Network. The publication has published its 26th compiled book volume on August 9 in Japan. Alternatively, Kodansha Comics releases the anime series' prints in English. It already unveiled its 25th volume on July 3.
Crunchyroll handles "Attack on Titan" digital publications in English as new chapters get published in Japan. By now, the manga series has 86 million copies in print worldwide. It also has theatrical, and home video releases in North America by Funimation.
"Attack on Titan" has three anime series adaptations. It also inspired two Japanese live-action movies. Warner Bros., too, is about to unveil its live-action film directed by the "It" director Andy Muschiett.
