Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee died on Monday at the age of 95, he was known in co-creating famous Marvel superheroes including X-Men, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Thor, and more. Following his death, many Hollywood celebrities took on social media to pay tribute to the comic book legend.

Lee suffered a medical emergency on Monday and was taken to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles but declared dead afterward, the attorney of his daughter confirmed to Variety.

Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of Disney, said Lee was an extraordinary man similar to the characters he created on comics. He noted the comic book legend can inspire other people and can entertain and connect with others as well. Iger further continues that Lee's imagination was exceeded by the size of his heart.

Chris Hemsworth, who's known in playing Thor, posted a photo of Lee on Instagram wearing the traditional helmet of Thor while at the same time holding the Mjolnir. In the caption, Hemsworth thanked the comic book legend for the incredible adventures on his stories.

Ryan Reynolds went on Twitter and shared an image of Lee's cameo in the latest "Deadpool" movie, and thanked him for everything. Chris Evan, who played Captain America, also shared his thoughts about Lee's death, writing there will never be another "Stan Lee."

Wolverine star Hugh Jackman shared a photo as well and said he's proud he became a small part in Lee's legacy and brought life to one of his characters. Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo of him and Lee on Instagram, noting he owes it all to the Marvel legend.

Spider-Man's Tom Holland also shared a photo on Instagram, writing Lee is the father of Marvel and made many people incredibly happy. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt also thanked the comic book legend as he was lucky to meet him and got the chance to be part of the world he created.

Avengers' Jeremy Renner, who played Hawkeye, honored the Marvel legend by posting a picture of them together. A life-long fan of Marvel, actor Kevin Smith, also wrote a long message to Lee, thanking him for the impact he'd created on his childhood and called him a modern-day "Mark Twain."

Aside from famous Hollywood celebrities, fans also honored Lee and laid flowers on his star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
