Domestic violence in women is not just a problem in China but also around the globe. One of the most well-known personalities who opened her heart out and shared her experience of being one of the victims of domestic violence is Spice Girls' Scary Spice, Melanie Brown.

Through a new memoir, she named "Brutally Honest," Mel B opened a big part of her heart as she shared one of the most painful moments of her life and the reason why she wanted to end her life back in 2014.

Mel B shared, she might seem to have everything a person would want to have: the glamour, beauty, and fame, but she wasn't happy, as posted by COSMOPOLITAN "I'll be wearing a beautiful dress, my hair and make-up will be perfect. But if you want the absolute truth, I don't care about any of it. My life is a mess and I want out," the 43-year-old former X Factor U.K. judge shared.

It was on December 11, 2014, a night before "The X Factor," when she decided to lock herself in her London home bathroom and one by one, popped an Aspirin pill inside her mouth, aiming to kill herself as she doesn't want to live her life anymore. When she hit 200 pills inside her system, that's when she decided to back out. She said, "Suicide was not the answer. I had to make my life count."

The aftermath of what she did was a damaged liver and kidney because of the pills she took, and bruises on her shoulders and face for banging the door desperately to get help. She even detailed her "saddest moment" of her life when one of her daughters confronted her as to the reason why she did such a thing.

With all the state she had, she still decided to be on the reality TV show in a stunning white dress. She said, "I needed all those bruises to be seen. There's no going back. I'm going to leave him, get a divorce. I'm going to be free."

According to the mother of three daughters, her suicide attempt was due to an abusive relationship, which felt like hell on earth, as posted in E! News. She claimed that the 10-year-marriage she had with her ex-husband and producer Stephen Belafonte, was the worst.

She further exclaimed how she was physically, verbally, and emotionally abused by him even to the point of threatening her and her career with a "library of sex tapes." She was even told to "die b*tch" when Belafonte found out about the attempt she did.
