Several months after the "Remember I Told You" singer, Nick Jonas, knelt and asked for the Indian actress Priyanka Chopra permission to marry her along with a $200,000 4 carats high-quality cushion cut diamond ring, the couple's wedding festivities, in accordance to Indian beliefs, has finally started.
Along with the couple, families and closest friends of both sides were very supportive and happy as they spend time with them before the couple officially ties the knot.
As a matter fact, Nick's brother, Joe Jonas, with his fiancé "Game of Throne" actress Sophie Turner, even traveled the world and cleared their hectic schedule just to witness one of the most important events in the life of their beloved. They are both photographed as they arrived at the Mumbai airport.
The first part of Nick and Priyanka's pre-wedding celebration was held in Delhi where Nick and Priyanka shared a cake.
E! News reported, "As for the bride and groom-to-be, they fed each other cake at a wrap party in Dehli for Chopra's upcoming biographical drama, "The Sky is Pink," which served as a simultaneous pre-wedding celebration for the lovebirds."
After the party in Delhi, the couple and their guests went to Juhu where they enjoyed each other's company over dinner.
Insiders claim that the event happened at Estella, an Australian cuisine restaurant surrounded by a picturesque view. The simple yet meaningful event where attended by famous guests, which includes Priyanka's cousin Parineeti Chopra, Joe, and Sophie.
The happy and proud Nick shared on his Instagram account, which has almost 17.7 million followers, some of the details of what happened during the event. With a caption that says, "Mumbai nights," the couple can be seen happily celebrating with their family with chocolate cake and champagne.
There are still no details regarding the wedding as of yet. The only thing that is certain is that the exchanging of vows will happen on December 2 and will be held at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, according to the Times of India.
After celebrating the recent family event in Juhu, the couple's upcoming pre-wedding festivities that will follow include the Christian ceremony honoring Nick's faith, and also a Mehndi party, which is a pre-wedding celebration usually conducted by Indians in relation to their Hindi and Sikh culture. The latter is expected to be held a day before their wedding, where Priyanka will be stained with a red-orange mehndi on the back of her hands, feet, and palms
