The f(x) member Luna has been a victim of not only online identity theft but also phishing. On Monday, December 17, the 25-year-old star shared a lengthy post on Instagram and revealed how she got hacked, and her family scammed.

Luna shared a couple of screenshots of her mother's conversation with a hacker. In the post, it showed how the cyberpunk impersonated her and successfully got a big amount of money from her family.

"Someone has been hacking my NAVER contacts to approach my friends and family to ask them for money," she captioned the lengthy post. Luna then advised everyone to be very careful of fake KakaoTalk profiles, and avoid getting fooled. She even gave a clue how to spot these perpetrators. "If you look closely at their Katalks there is a red globe symbol, which means they are phishing," she said, translated by Koreaboo.

Unfortunately, not only her parents are the victim of these hackers, but her grandmother and grandfather as well. Luna then called these hacktivists for stealing the hard-earned money she religiously saved for her family while working and living as a singer.

She then questioned if they are happy earning money in a bad way. Luna then stood on her ground and remained optimistic despite the incident. She then told the hackers that they could use the money that she hardly earned for past years while studying, singing, and taking part-time jobs to earn. "I'll become stronger and not be discouraged from such incidents," she added.

She then encouraged the people who also have been a victim of this fraudulent act. Luna told them to stay persistent and determined, as it shall also pass. Although she admitted that it would be hard to catch the criminals behind phishing, they should become stronger and move on.

Luna then gave a shout out to every office worker in the country for working so hard. She hopes not everyone will get obsessed earning money that can be gone in an instant. She also advised them to save "little by little" and use something that can help their daily lives. She ended her post by pleading everyone not to commit fraud against anyone.

Aside from phishing, Luna is also a victim of online identity theft. She warned her fans about the fake social media accounts that impersonate her, per AllKpop.

On Friday, December 14, Luna shared screenshots of her fake social media accounts on Facebook. She showed the impersonator had been actively using her identity since 2015. The impersonator even regularly uploads her picture and talking to her fans as if she is the real Luna. She then said that her accounts are all verified, so fans could easily find her legit social media pages.
