It's now official! The universe has officially found the perfect successor for the crown!
In the recent 67th Miss Universe, which was held at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok Thailand's Muang Thong Thani, another queen has been crowned as this year's Miss Universe.
Miss Philippines Catriona Gray's beauty, glamour, patriotism, and wit made her stood out amid other 93 contestants in the most prestigious beauty pageant of the world. Tamaryn Green of South Africa followed her as 1st Runner-Up and Sthefany Gutierrez of Venezuela as 2nd Runner-Up.
In honor of Miss Gray's victory, here are some of the things you need to know about our present reigning Miss Universe.
SHE'S VERY CLOSE TO HER FAMILY
In an interview during the pageant, Gray became very vocal on how she and her parents were very close to each other. She added that though she loves her mother, Normita Magnayon, so much, she exclaimed how she has always been a Daddy's girl ever since, as posted by E! Online.
With Scottish and Filipino blood, Catriona was born in Cairns, Australia and moved to the Philippines when she was 18 to follow her dreams of being a model, actress and eventually beauty queen.
SHE IS MUSICALLY INCLINED
"Known to spontaneously burst into song," Gray has always been in love with arts and music, and she is taking it seriously. She recently received her Master Certificate in Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has also been given a chance to be a part of one of the most well-known theatre productions in the world, the "Miss Saigon."
She also shared to Steve Harvey, one of the hosts of the event, "Once I started music, it just was fulfilling in a way that everything else wasn't. My mom told me even in the womb I was dancing."
SHE LOVES TO TRAVEL
Catriona loves the world and to wander off with its beauty. That's why she often travel and visit different places. She has the passion to experience the culture, converse and have fellowship with the locals, and also visit different destinations, all of which were detailed in her social media accounts.
Furthermore, the universe's new queen is also not scared of experiencing everything the world has to offer. In fact, in her bio written in the Miss Universe page, she's not even frightened to conquer heights as she opened up she's a fan of zip-lining.
Catriona's reign of being this year's Miss Universe is just starting to unfold. But with how wonderful this lady has been, there is no doubt she will do good as she fulfills her duties and responsibilities of being the new queen.
