Netflix recently axed some of its Marvel series, including "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," and "Daredevil." Now, fans fear for Frank Castle (John Bernthal), and Jessie's (Krysten Ritter) lives if "The Punisher" and "Jessica Jones" get canceled, too.

Fans are now expecting that Netflix will pull the plug on "The Punisher" and "Jessica Jones" in no time. There are even rumors that the streaming network will do it after "The Punisher" Season 2 airs.

Although there are no hints that Netflix will cancel "The Punisher," it is the same thing that happened to other Marvel series. According to Heroic Hollywood, fans blame the streaming network, Marvel, and Disney for the cancellation-spree.

"Daredevil" and "The Defenders" star Amy Rutberg blamed Netflix for the cancellation. She even revealed that Marvel got "very surprised" when it learned the streaming network canceled "Daredevil" despite its good reviews. It also planned not to move forward to its creative team's plans to create three more seasons.

"Any of the rumors that it was a Marvel decision are wrong, I think it was purely a Netflix decision," she said, per Comic Book. "That comes from personal conversations with people high up at Marvel. They were surprised."

Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb also said that the studio would "be beholden" by their networks. Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos even supported this claim when he admitted that the streaming network's Marvel series is for them to cancel.

But as long as Marvel and Netflix have yet to announce "The Punisher" and "Jessica Jones" cancellation, the continuation of Frank Castle and Jessies' stories are safe. There are even rumors that these characters are not allowed to be used by other networks for two years.

So what could happen to "Luke Cage, "Iron Fist," and "Daredevils" is it would air on Hulu as Disney owns a majority of it. But fans should only put a grain of salt to that assumption. It could also be rebooted and recast and will be included on the upcoming new streaming service Disney+.

Disney direct-to-consumer and international division chairman Kevin Mayer, who handles the company's Disney+, revealed the "very high-quality" shows might live under Disney. Although he disclosed that they have yet to talk about it, there is a big possibility that it would happen.

So, fans can expect to see their favorite Marvel series characters in a different streaming network in the future. For now, they should watch "The Punisher" Season 2 when it airs in January on Netflix, and wait for its fate.
