"Better Call Saul" Season 5 now has a filming date, and it only means that fans are closer to its release date. Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, Jonathan Banks, and the rest of cast and crew are set to return to the Land of Enchantment in 2019 to start the "Breaking Bad" spinoff series' production.

"Better Call Saul" Season 5 will start filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on April 10, 2019. It is expected to run until August.

According to CarterMatt, as the previous season started filming earlier in the winter, it could mean that "Better Call Saul" Season 5's release date would be pushed back a little late to a couple of months to a year. The publication noted it is not surprising at all as the show usually takes long hiatus between seasons.

The hiatus is said to be for the show's writers to polish its story and connect it to "Breaking Bad." They also have to write Gene's story post the original series that will have flash-forward scenes in "Better Call Saul" Season 5.

"Better Call Saul" Season 5 will also have 10 episodes just like the previous seasons. Preparations for the show are reportedly done, so the production may not take too long. By the end of the summer next year, there is a big possibility that the filming will be complete, and the show will be out in the fall.

However, it will depend on AMC's call. If the network considers better ratings, "Better Call Saul" Season 5 may be out in the winter. So fans have to wait for its official announcement a couple of months upon filming.

So now that "Better Call Saul" Season 5 is gearing up for its production, the big question is what will happen to Jimmy McGill, Kim Wexler, Mike Ehrmentraut, and Gustavo Fring (Gian Carlo Esposito) now that Saul Goodman's persona emerges. In an interview with the show's creator, Peter Gould, via TV Series Finale, he said the new season would explore Jimmy's transition into the famous criminal lawyer from "Breaking Bad."

"It seems like Jimmy's first move is to try to leverage all the contacts he has in the world of selling drop phones," he said about "Better Call Saul" Season 5. "But don't forget, he also knows the vet [Caldera (Joe DeRosa)], and the vet is sort of Craig's List for the underworld in Albuquerque."

In "Better Call Saul" Season 5, fans need to see how Jimmy will establish himself as a criminal lawyer. There will be situations that he needs to have a blind eye to stomach the things that Jimmy surely cannot do.
