It looks like fans will not see Matt Brown in "Alaskan Bush People" Season 9. According to reports, Billy and Ami Brown chose to fire their 36-year-old troubled son from their Discovery Channel show after he did not show himself to them.

Matt reportedly went missing for a couple of weeks after his second rehab stint. "Billy and Ami have finally gotten in contact with Matt since he left," a source told Radar Online. "They told him if he did not return home right away that they would not allow him to be a part of the upcoming season of 'Alaskan Bush.'"

Billy and Ami Brown allegedly like Matt Brown to be "sober and healthy" before "Alaskan Bush People" Season 9 starts. However, the father-and-son had a fight over the patriarch's request for him to have a sober coach all day and night.

Matt Brown seemingly refused his father's demand, so he left Washington and went to Palm Desert, California. There are reports that he was seen looking "bleary-eyed" and in a bad state in the area.

As Billy and Ami Brown feel like there is nothing that they can do to help their child, they are only praying that he will come home this New Year. But, it seems like it will never happen.

According to Pop Culture, Matt Brown first went to rehab in 2016 after his DUI arrest. He started drinking again after Amy Brown got diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017. He then went to rehab again in October.

As the Brown family thought Matt Brown would stay in the rehab for three months, he left after 30 days. However, he never went home and reportedly flew to California, leaving his sober coach.

At the time, the Brown family went crazy worrying about him. He didn't tell them he was leaving the rehab or going to another country. "He just up and left even though he was advised to stay," a source said.

To recall, Matt Brown announced his plans to voluntarily went to rehab. He even said he had the Brown family's full support, and it was set to get featured in "Alaskan Bush People" Season 9.

In an interview with People, Matt Brown admitted he struggled with substance abuse. He even felt grateful for the support he received and hoped he would return his life "back on track."

Meanwhile, talking about "Alaskan Bush People" Season 9, Discovery Channel has yet to announce its official release date. So, fans still have to wait a little while for further information about the reality series.
