Few weeks after Matt Damon has reportedly bought a 16.7 million U.S. Dollar or about 113.5 million Chinese Yuan penthouse in one of the most luxurious buildings in Brooklyn Heights, The Standish, another couple decided to move into the building and experience this one of a kind deluxe life with their pal.
"Mary Poppins" main star Emily Blunt and husband American actor John Krasinski decided to invest their money in this expensive reality as they bought two adjacent units for about 11 million U.S. Dollars or about 74.67 million Chinese Yuan.
The units were so expensive that with the amount they dropped for the condo units, their transaction was considered to be "one of the largest ever done in the New York City borough," as stated in The Wall Street Journal.
As the couple bought the two adjacent units, they were given the privilege to own the entire eight floor; only with some walls in between, which they have to knock down to maximize their house's space.
Before the purchase of the condo units, Blunt and Krasinski own an amazing, classic Park Slope townhouse, which they eventually offered to the market for 6.5 million U.S. dollars or about 44.12 million Chinese Yuan on September 2017
Their old home was very special to them, but unfortunately, because of work and other personal issues, they weren't able to stay in their Park Slope home that much. The couple said, "the house is so special - someone who can spend every night there should have it."
Since the selling and purchasing of the property in The Standish weren't exposed to the public, some information about the unit is kept in secret.
When it comes to the size of the couple's new home though, TMZ says, if their units are more likely the same as the entire 10th-floor unit, then its total floor area might probably be 5,000 square feet. Aside from that, their home could also include eight rooms, four and a half bathrooms and five bedrooms in it, perfect and even more than enough for their family of two kids.
Furthermore, the developers of the buildings also offer amenities like a bike room, children's playroom, a fitness center, concierge services, an elevator, a doorman available 24/7, and lots more. So most probably, the couple also received such perks.
Days ago, the couple was spotted being very sweet to each other as they attend the recent 2019 Golden Globes together. As Blunt took the stage for being nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for the movie "Mary Poppins Returns," her supportive husband Krasinski was seen proudly cheering her on.
