It's going to be quite a busy year for actor Diego Luna. As soon as he's done filming "Narcos: Mexico" season 2 for Netflix, he will quickly jump to work on his other TV series, the "Star Wars" spinoff that will center on the character Cassian Andor.

According to That Hashtag Show, the Cassian Andor TV show has mapped out its filming dates. Work on the set will begin from Oct. 28, 2019, and will extend to June 17, 2020.

This "Star Wars" spinoff serves as a prequel to the blockbuster film "Rogue One" (2016). It will highlight the early days of the Rebellion, where Luna reprises his role as the rebel spy who was responsible for the destruction of the Death Star that heavily figured in the 1977 film, "Star Wars: A New Hope" Episode 4.

Moviegoers who saw "Rogue One," which also starred Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, and Donnie Yen, knew of Andor's fate. He died giving the rebels Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Hans Solo (Harrison Ford) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) a fighting chance to beat the Empire.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the Cassian Andor series last November. Luna stated in the press release that he is excited to go back to the "Star Wars" universe with this TV show because he's had so many fond memories of working on "Rogue One." He also said that he's looking forward to telling more stories from his character in this new format.

Disney tapped Stephen Schiff to serve as the Cassian Andor series showrunner. The show has no official title so far, and Disney has also not yet announced who else is joining the cast, apart from Luna.

The Mouse House has another "Star Wars" spinoff in the works with "The Mandalorian." It also stars another "Narcos" actor in Pedro Pascal. The series has "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau serving as head writer and showrunner. It will be about the bounty hunters of the "Star Wars" universe.

Meanwhile, Luna is still in the middle of work on the second season of "Narcos: Mexico." The actor plays the drug lord Felix Gallardo, who will face off with the DEA's Scoot McNairy in the upcoming installment.

Luna described his "Narcos" character as someone who's not a typical drug dealer in an interview with Vulture. But the actor stressed that a lot of the things on the TV show are inspired works of fiction.

"Narcos: Mexico" season 1 remains streaming on Netflix. The second season is expected to launch on the platform by the time Luna stars work on his Cassian Andor series.
