"Lucifer" Season 4 has been through a lot before the show finally got a new home on Netflix. From Fox's cancellation to fan campaign #SaveLucifer, the series has made the fans excited for its return. Now that the show has wrapped up filming, viewers are now waiting for its official release date as Aimee Garcia is teasing what is about to come.
In an interview with Nerds and Beyond, Aimee Garcia, who plays the role of Ella Lopez, talked about her character's possible storyline in "Lucifer" Season 4. As fans saw her serious side in the previous season when her brother got involved in big trouble, would the new season reveal more about her family?
"Yes, Ella has a crisis of faith in Season 4," Aimee Garcia admitted about her character's development in "Lucifer" Season 4. "She starts spiraling because she's lost her rock in God."
Aimee Garcia assured fans would still see an "energetic Ella" in "Lucifer" Season 4. However, she would be a little darker this time. Although viewers would never meet new members of her family, they would see more of her - physically and emotionally - this season.
"It's sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll for Ella this season," Aimee Garcia revealed. But before she gets herself in trouble for revealing things about her character in "Lucifer" Season 4, she ended giving teasers as that was all she could say.
"Lucifer" Season 4's production already ended in December. So, fans expect Netflix would drop a new trailer and announce its official release date soon.
According to Hidden Remote, Aimee Garcia even teased that she already saw "Lucifer" Season 4's sneak peek in a post on Instagram. "Just saw sneak peek of @LuciferNetflix Season 4! Can't wait 4 u all to see it!!" she captioned a boomerang clip of herself inside a sound booth.
As Aimee Garcia's post made fans excited, one of her followers couldn't help itself and asked her when "Lucifer" Season 4 would be out. "I have no idea... but if I had to guess I'd say April or May," she said.
Of course, Aimee Garcia's revelation made every fan excited. Although it didn't confirm "Lucifer" Season 4's official release date, viewers now have a date to look forward to.
Meanwhile, ahead of "Lucifer" Season 4's release, Netflix dropped the first three seasons of the series in December, so fans could watch it once again. Co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich tweeted the show even trended alongside the streaming network's hit series like "Bodyguard" and the festive movie "Christmas Chronicles." It even thrived although "BirdBox" reportedly conquered the viewership.
