"This Is Us" Season 3 is still on-going since it has a total of 18 episodes, but although the series is not yet done, a lot of fans are eager to find out what will happen next or if there will be a season four for the show. Will viewers get to watch "This Is Us" season 4?

Currently, it's still uncertain if the series will return for a fourth season - or not. But, "This Is Us" is one of the highest-rated TV shows on the air, so it's safe to say that season four is plausible as there are a lot of stories that are yet to be explored.

According to Okakukart, "This Is Us" Season 4 will come in the Fall of 2019 - if ever. The possible release date is still speculation since there's no confirmation if the show will be renewed for a fourth season or not. But, it is expected This Is Us Season 4 announcement will drop by the end of January, or in February.

Meanwhile, series creator Dan Fogelman said in May 2018 he knows where the series ends, and they have the path for each season of the show.

"I don't think this show-despite any success it may or may not have-will overstay its welcome," Fogelman said. "I've actually already shot pieces of the final scene of the series," he added.

So, if ever there'll be "This Is Us" Season 4, Fogelman already knows what will happen. Entertainment Weekly also reported in September 2017 that the series creator had already planned out everything from day one by the time he delivered the script for the pilot.

He added that he had a pitch for the next four seasons of the show. Thus, since Fogelman already has a storyline for season four in mind, it's safe to assume the series would be renewed for an additional season.

Mandy Moore also backed up the statement of Fogelman in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! The actress said the ending would be very "satisfying" for viewers and people will "feel their feelings."

"This Is Us" Season 4 will reportedly revolve around a new mystery. While the first two seasons of the series focused on the mysterious cause of death of Jack Pearson, the mysterious identity of "her" will reportedly unfold by the end of season three. In April 2018, Chrissy Metz revealed the storyline of "her" is "very heartbreaking" and "not good."
