The most recent subject of the TLC documentary series "My 600-lb Life" looks to be sticking to her weight loss journey quite well. Kansas native Robin McKinley has had consultations with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan about her problems with obesity in the course of the program, and she recently showed that she's still committed and dedicated to losing weight for the sake of her health.
McKinley, who used to weigh 648 pounds before her sessions with Dr. Nowzaradan (also known as Dr. Now), recently posted a selfie on her Facebook profile. The new photo revealed that the 40-year-old has slowly dropped the weight, thus indicating that she has listened to the medical advice and guidance that the doctor has been giving her.
The photo McKinley posted, however, did not reveal a full body shot. But she made it clear to friends and family in a private post that she's keeping active and feeling great. According to Distractify, McKinley is also still in Texas, which means she is still near Dr. Now and she continues to get help for her weight loss journey.
McKinley's quest to lose weight was never easy because it was not just her who had to change her diet and lifestyle or give up vices like smoking and gluttony. As shown in the docu-series, McKinley was supposed to travel to Texas with her brother, Chris, to get the help they needed. However, her brother suffered a heart attack before they had to leave, so this affected her plans to finally start her weight loss journey.
Eventually, however, McKinley was able to finally visit Dr. Now for "My 600-lb Life" and brought along her 20-year-old nephew, Garrett, who also needed help with losing weight. So, Dr. Now counseled the two of them, and they seemed very much eager to start a new healthy lifestyle together.
Now, McKinley is committed to maintaining a 1,200-calorie diet every day, as shown in "My 600-lb Life." It's a big change from her former life, where she used to move around in a wheelchair because she was too heavy to walk on her own. Her family has also cut back on eating junk food and sugary food.
Meanwhile, after her brother has recovered from his heart attack, Chris has also committed to losing weight just like the rest of the family. He has been making an effort to save money so that he and her sister can live closer to each other and go to their sessions with Dr. Now together.
