It's been barely three months since the OnePlus 6T was launched and the OnePlus supporters are already clamoring for the next flagship killer - the OnePlus 7. Perhaps a testament to the Shenzhen-based company's craftsmanship and well-deserved reputation for churning out "budget" mobile phones with high-end imaging systems, the OnePlus 7, while still under development, has quickly become one of the most anticipated handheld devices in 2019.
The latest from the rumor mill suggests that OnePlus is not only developing better camera hardware for the OnePlus 7, it also hints that the upcoming mid-range mobile phone would be equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset. This means that the OnePlus 7 would be one of the first handheld phones with 5G and have 10GB of RAM.

While these rumors and purported leaks remain just that, recent developments seen in the OnePlus units suggest that the Chinese company is gearing up for bigger things. Add these to the fact that the features found in the OnePlus handsets are apparently based on, or an improvement to the Oppo phones, it is safe to assume that OnePlus is aiming to make a splash with the OnePlus 7.
A new concept video shows the basic design of the OnePlus 7. It highlights a triple lens rear camera, a front-facing camera, and a sliding screen. The sliding screen hides the front-facing camera which could mean that there would be no bezels or notches and that the OnePlus could feature an all-screen display.
The dual front-facing camera system also hints that the upcoming OnePlus phone would be capable of facial recognition and real-world scanning. The rear camera, meanwhile, suggests that the OnePlus 7 would also be able to perform the same scanning.
If these rumored features make it to the actual OnePlus 7, it would mean that another heavy-hitter would join the battle for smartphone supremacy. And unlike the big hitters such as Samsung and Apple iPhone, the OnePlus 7 would be reasonably priced, or at least less expensive. To date, no OnePlus unit has broken through the £500 barrier. And while there is a possibility that it may cross that line, the features alone in the upcoming OnePlus unit would be worth it.
The OnePlus is also rumored to be released in early 2019 or mid-2019. While logic suggests that most, if not all of these features would make the final version of the OnePlus 7, these reports are still unconfirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt.
