A new report claims Brad Pitt is dating Charlize Theron and they've been casually seeing each other for a month now. But, this claim was corrected and confirmed the two movie stars aren't really a couple.
Sun magazine published an article on Sunday claiming Pitt and Theron have a developing romance after being introduced by the actress's ex-boyfriend Sean Penn. A source of the outlet said the two met up at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles over the weekend, both movie stars were "ridiculously touchy-feely" and the actor's arm was "around her back." At some point, the source claims, Pitt even winked at the actress.
The story of Sun magazine has been immediately picked up by several outlets, but couldn't even verify if Pitt and Theron were indeed an item. But, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actor, who made sure Pitt isn't dating the actress. Both stars met last year while shooting an ad for the watch brand Breitling, but they weren't in a romantic relationship and they weren't introduced by Penn as well.
People magazine, a reputable celebrity news outlet, also confirmed dating rumors are not true at all. The publication reported Pitt and Theron met six months ago while shooting a commercial, but they haven't been spotted going out together, and they were never dating.
It's worth noting that dating rumor involving Pitt and Theron isn't new anymore. In April 2018, Life & Style magazine reported the actor's friends wanted him to date Theron, Kristen Wiig, Emilia Clarke, or Jennifer Lawrence. That claim has been debunked, although the tabloid insisted Theron was in the running to be Pitt's girlfriend since both of them are Oscar-winners with adopted kids.
In October, Sun magazine's sister outlet, Star, also maintained Pitt and Theron were secretly dating for almost a year. At that time, the tabloid wrongly reported the two were having "secret hookups" and Pitt was allegedly "smitten" and their chemistry together was "sizzling hot." But then, Pitt's rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that the entire claim was 100 percent untrue.
Still, OK! Australia reported the following week that both stars were dating and they're in a "secret" relationship. The article insisted Pitt and Theron have a very passionate romance. Yet, it was confirmed at that time that dating rumors involving the two aren't true. Thus, this latest claim the movie stars were dating is similarly false as well.
