Emma Stone is reportedly dating the "Bodyguard" actor Richard Madden, according to a new claim. The report said the actress hit it off with the British actor during the Golden Globes earlier this month, and they've been together since then. But, this dating rumor has been debunked and confirmed there's no on-going romance between the two.
The latest issue of Heat magazine declares "Hot New Couple Alert," and the accompanying article claims Stone and Madden might be dating ever since the Golden Globes. The outlet cited an alleged source saying the two had an immediate "chemistry" and they spent more time together in Los Angeles.
Both stars reportedly believe that a long distance relationship is a disaster and they're really into each other. The actress is also hoping to film in London soon. To support its claim, the tabloid noted Madden recently broke up with his girlfriend Ellie Bamber, so it's "likely" he's dating Stone. However, the outlet failed to mention that the actress is dating "Saturday Night Live" writer Dave McCary for about two years.
In December 2016, Stone first met the SNL writer after hosting the sketch show. They were spotted together for the first time in July 2017 during the premiere of the movie Brigsby Bear, which he directed. In October of that year, news surfaced they were dating. The two were rarely spotted going out together, but they were seen this past weekend at the LA Clippers game.
So, the outlet assumed Stone is single and then linked the actress to Madden, who both attended the same event. But, the claim is 100 percent untrue, a source close to the situation confirmed to Gossip Cop that both stars didn't strike up a romance during the Golden Globes.
Heat magazine also has a record of making false reports involving Stone and her love life. In June 2018, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for claiming the actress was fighting with Sienna Miller over Justin Theroux. At that time, Stone has already been dating McCary, while Miller was never romantically involved with Theroux as well.
Another outlet, OK! Magazine, reported in February 2018 that Stone wanted to date "Maniac" co-star Jonah Hill. But then, that claim has been debunked, and the actress was with McCary at the time. Even though the actress rarely goes out with her boyfriend in public, the two are still together. So, the latest claim that she's dating Madden is not true at all.
