"Scandal" on ABC won't be back for season 8. The show aired its final episode last April 19, 2018, with an explosive end that gave Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope the happy ending she deserved.
With the show past behind them, the stars of "Scandal" have moved on to other projects. So, what's keeping them busy these days?
Washington has just scored a deal with Netflix to bring her Broadway play, "American Son," to the streaming platform. The actress will reprise the same role she did on the stage and the upcoming adaptation will feature the same cast, director and producers, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Aside from "American Son," Washington is also set to produce two TV projects with Reese Witherspoon. "Little Fires Everywhere" and "Old City Blues" will be streaming on Hulu once production has been completed.
Darby Stanchfield (Abby Whelan) is going to be in "Stargirl," a charming movie from Disney. The film will center on a quirky teen with immense talent, played by Grace VanderWaal, who will change the status quo at her new school. Stanchfield has also finished work on the films "Medicine Men" and "Justine." All movies are set for a 2019 release.
Katie Lowes (Quinn Perkins) last movie project after "Scandal" was for the animated film "Ralph Breaks the Internet." These days, the actress has been busy working on the stage. She's been headlining the Broadway production of "Waitress," which also stars her real-life husband Adam Shapiro.
Guillermo Diaz (Huck) will be seen in the movie "All the Little Things We Kill" with Elizabeth Marvel ("House of Cards") and RJ Mitte ("Breaking Bad"). The actor was also a recent guest on the TV show "Broad City."
Tony Goldwyn (Fitzgerald Grant) has wrapped up filming the new TV Series "Chambers." The supernatural drama is set to premiere on Netflix and will also feature Hollywood star Uma Thurman, as per Deadline."Chambers" is about a woman whose life changes because of the new heart that's now giving her life. She wants to find out about her donor's death but the more she investigates, the deeper the mystery becomes troubling.
Bellamy Young (Millie Grant) has also been doing stage plays since "Scandal" wrapped up. She will be in the all-star reading of "Ms. Smith Goes to Washington" in Los Angeles with Sam Waters and her "Scandal" co-star Joshua Malina (David Rosen).
Malina, on the other hand, was recently on "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS. He reprised his role as the school president, Mr. Siebert.
