"Good Girls" season 2 is returning to NBC nearly a year after its debut. The show about three suburban moms who are struggling to keep their family OK is set to premiere on a new day.
Last season, "Good Girls" aired on Monday nights on the broadcast network. According to TV Line, NBC has moved to the show's schedule for the second season so it will now be airing Sundays at 10 p.m. beginning March 3.
"Good Girls" stars Christina Hendricks (Beth Boland), Retta (Ruby Hill) and Mae Whitman (Annie Marks). The three women are forced to a life of crime in order to support their family and raise their children well without the help of boyfriends or husbands.
The series received favorable feedback from critics and viewers alike on NBC hence the renewal. But the show truly kicked off and reached more audience around the world after the first season began streaming on Netflix.
According to What's On Netflix, subscribers of the streaming platform in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia will likely get to watch new episodes of "Good Girls" season 2 a day after the show airs on NBC. But those in the U.S. may need to wait until the new season finishes its run in the states.
Meanwhile, Manny Montana (Rio) teased via MEAWW that his character may hook up with Beth in "Good Girls" season 2. Viewers may recall that Rio works as a money launderer and he has had encounters with Beth a few times in the first season.
Apparently, the sexual tension between Rio and Beth will become more evident that the characters may finally cross that illicit line in the upcoming installment. Incidentally, Montana's real-life wife, Adelfa Marr, has a small role in "Good Girls" season 2. The actor won't say who her character is but he happily shared that he got very excited when his wife got the part since she's not an actor in real life.
Marr's casting is reportedly open-ended, meaning, she'll likely be asked back on the show in future episodes. Montana also hinted that his character's family will be a crucial part of the second season, which seemed to suggest that his real-life wife will play his TV wife.
"Good Girls" season 1, which debuted on NBC on February 2018, is currently streaming on Netflix. The second season will return this March but its Netflix run in the U.S. has not yet been announced.
