However, STARZ has not yet released any official details about the imminent new installment, pushing some to create their theories and predictions.
Since the show is based on a book series, making forecasts on what could happen next seems easy for fans. As a matter of fact, reports suggested that Outlander Season 5 will follow the plot of The Fiery Cross novel.
So, if this is the case, followers of the series could expect that things are about to get even more precarious for Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), Brianna Randall (Sophie Skelton), and Murtagh Fraser (Duncan Lacroix) in Outlander Season 5. STARZ President and CEO Chris Albrecht previously revealed that Sam and Caitriona's characters would face a new set of challenges, enemies, and adventures in the upcoming Outlander Season 5 and Season 6. He even shared that the imminent two new installments will explore the lives of the Frasers as they continue their quest in the New World.
Outlander Season 5, which is currently underway, is expected to have a total of 12 episodes. As for its release date, STARZ has not announced anything as of yet. However, rumors claimed that it is likely to be dropped in Fall or Winter 2019. As for the cast, all characters present in the fourth installment are expected to return for the imminent new season.
