Magazine recently claimed Stone and McCary got engaged secretly, but the "source" didn't provide additional information about the alleged engagement, like where and when it happened. Still, the unnamed tipster insisted the former Saturday Night Live writer proposed over the holidays and got his girlfriend a "simple ring," but she's not yet showing it to the public.
Allegedly, Stone is just cherishing the moment and she isn't ready to tell the world she's now engaged. Then, the untraceable insider contends the couple is planning an intimate yet elegant wedding. The actress allegedly wants her friends and family to be present at the ceremony, which will happen "by the end of the year." The source added some of the celebrities that will attend the alleged wedding include Brie Larson and Jennifer Lawrence, who will "set up" fun and a little bit crazy bachelorette party.
According to Gossip Cop, this report is entirely fabricated. In fact, a source close to Stone told Gossip Cop there's no truth about the tabloid's story and confirmed the actress and Mccary are not engaged. The couple has been quietly dating since at least October 2017, though they weren't spotted being together in public in 2018.
Just a few weeks ago, the two were photographed a rare public date night at a Los Angeles Clippers game. It's worth noting the tabloid never wrote a story about the couple before, so it's suspicious it is now claiming the two were engaged after being seen together in public for the first time for more than a year.
OK! Magazine seems to be unaware about the relationship of Stone and McCary. For instance, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid just last year for wrongly reporting the actress was planning to date Maniac co-star Jonah Hill. During that time, the actress was already dating McCary.
Moreover, the outlet's sister publication, Life & Style, also claimed Stone was secretly dating Justin Theroux and she's moving in with him. But then, that story was purely fabricated as well. And as for the latest claim, the Stone and her boyfriend McCary are not engaged.
