U.S. companies are experiencing the prosperity that China's Lunar New Year festivities have to offer as a variety of American sects introduced products and services attributed to the annual celebrations.

According to The Associated Press, one of the firms benefiting from the Chinese New Year festivities is Disney. The American entertainment giant's California Adventure Park has launched its "Asian eats" campaign that offers food enthusiasts with various Chinese delicacies such as purple yam macarons and tofu shaped as Mickey Mouse.

Nike is another U.S. brand that leveraged on the opportunities provided by the Chinese New Year. The international fashion brand will launch a limited-edition shoe collection to celebrate Asia's celebrations.

Williams Sonoma followed suit to keep up with other U.S. brands reaping profits from the annual programs. The houseware provider has unveiled a dishware collection for the Chinese New Year. "Year of the Pig" cupcakes, at $80, are also available for order on the company's website.

Marketing Consultant and Founder of Brand Keys Inc., Robert Passikoff, said U.S. companies have started embracing business opportunities during the Lunar New Year holidays. "They're not there are social workers to create harmony among the disenfranchised people. The other side is brands are all looking for a niche, they're all looking for some way to engage customers. And if the Lunar New Year will do it, why not?" he noted.

For basketball fans, the Golden State Warriors have come up with a Lunar New Year campaign that celebrates with the Chinese people. A special jersey with the Chinese character for "warrior" is now up for grabs.

For many Chinese living in the United States, Lunar New Year campaigns spearheaded by American firms is a great way to establish further awareness about China's cultures and traditions.

With the rise of social media and the increasing number of Asian people moving to the U.S., more people are learning about the annual celebrations that were once only known to Asians.

Meanwhile, Europe is also celebrating the "Year of the Pig" through lion dances and a display of Chinese couplets in a number of European states. According to Xinhua, French regions are welcoming the exhibitions.

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted his greetings to the Chinese community across the world on Tuesday.

At the Dublin National Concert Hall in Ireland, the RTE National Symphony Orchestra and Beijing Performance & Arts Group organized a collaborative concert that featured musical creations by both foreign and Chinese composers.
