Robert Pattinson is, undeniably, one of the popular actors of his generation. The 32-year-old English actor-model became a household name after he appeared in the Twilight movie series along with ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

Now, it seems like Pattinson is up for another challenge as he is being considered to replace Ben Affleck and become the new Batman. Reports have it that the former boyfriend of Stewart is part of the list of actors that could wear the popular black suit, which include Outlander Season 5 star Sam Heughan, Call Me by Your Name actor Armie Hammer and Bad Times at the El Royale star Jon Hamm.

It is said that Warner Bros is looking for a younger actor - preferably in the mid-20s or early 30s -- to star in the next Bruce Wayne movie. And, if we based it on age, it seems like only Robert Pattinson and Sam Heughan are qualified to portray the much-coveted role.

In late January, many fans were shocked when Ben Affleck announced that he would no longer be portraying as Batman, which is why rumors about Pattinson, Heughan, Hammer, and Hamm started to speculate. It happened, more or less, a year after he resigned as the movie director and was replaced by Matt Reeves.

"I have loved the Batman story since I was a child. He is such an iconic and compelling character, and one that resonates with me deeply," Reeves said in a statement at the time. As of now, there is still no confirmation as to who would be wearing the bat suit next. Though fans would love to see either Robert Pattinson or Sam Heughan portraying the role, it is important to note that everything is not yet finalized; hence, avid followers should take these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.

Meanwhile, EconoTimes shared that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's relationship was, supposedly, just a marketing campaign for the Twilight saga. The reputable news website reported there are rumors claiming that the former partners of FKA Twigs and Stella Maxwell faked everything to promote the franchise.

However, Stewart was quick to debunk the malicious reports and stated that what she had with Pattinson was real. "I've been deeply in love with everyone I've dated. Did you think I was faking it? I've always really embraced a duality," the Twilight actress told Harpers Bazaar. "And really, truly, believed in it and never felt confused or struggling," she went on.

The former lovebirds admitted their relationship in October 2011, which is approximately three years since they were first sighted getting flirty with each other. They, however, ended their romance in April 2013. Stay tuned to Business Times China for the latest news and updates about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!
