There is no denying that this American crime drama web television series had become an instant favorite because of its interesting plotline. So, it comes as no surprise that many followers of the show are already dying for Mindhunter Season 2. However, due to the lack of details about the upcoming second installment, avid fans of the series were forced to create their theories and predictions on what is likely to happen in season two.

Spoilers and Predictions

David Fincher revealed to Billboard, in 2017, that Mindhunter Season 2 would focus on the infamous series of killings in Atlanta in 1979 up to 1981. During the time, there were a total of 28 African-American people who were murdered in the capital of the U.S. state of Georgia.

Just like other series, fans could assume that Mindhunter Season 2 will pick up where the previous installment left off. The second season is predicted to, also, cover how things went on after Holden Ford -- whose methods were being questioned by Bill, Wendy, and their boss - hugged series killer Ed Kemper in the season one finale.

Though nothing is confirmed up to this writing, it is predicted that all characters from the first installment will return in Mindhunter Season 2, which include Holden (Jonathan Groff), Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), Wendy (Anna Torv), and Ed (Cameron Britton). Other characters expected to make a comeback in the imminent new installment also include Shepard (Cotter Smith), Jerry Brudos (Happy Anderson), Nancy Tench (Stacey Roca), Greg Smith (Joe Tuttle), Benjamin (Joseph Cross), Mark Ocasek (Alex Morf), Roger Wade (Mark Kudisch), Michael Park (Peter Dean), Annaliese (Lena Olin), and Gordon (Duke Lafoon) among others.

Aside from the recurring cast, fans should also expect new faces in the forthcoming Mindhunter Season 2. As a matter of fact, word of mouth suggests that Australian actor Damon Herriman will be portraying the role of Charles Manson in the next installment. He will also appear on the upcoming movie titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino.

Official Release Date

Meanwhile, Pop Culture shared that a series star might have, accidentally, revealed the official release date of Mindhunter Season 2. When a Reeditor asked the actor about the second installment's possible premiere date, Holt McCallany said: "not until fall of 2019."

Based on the statement, it must be safe to say that the much-anticipated second installment will be arriving before the year ends. However, it should be noted that Netflix has yet to confirm the claim; hence, fans should take things lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
