Despite the Marvel-series-cancellation-spree, Netflix has ordered for another set of episodes of "Jessica Jones" Season 3. Although fans fear that the Krysten Ritter show will also get canceled, they are also excited to know what will happen to the superhero-turned-PI after the previous season finale.

"Jessica Jones" Season 3 is expected to be better than ever after Netflix once again commission showrunner Melissa Rosenberg to do another season. As the previous installment celebrated female empowerment after it debuted in 2018's International Women's Day, the show might continue to tackle girl power.

According to EconoTimes, the show has been featuring diversity since it started being dominated by female cast and crew. "Jessica Jones" Season 3 is probably no different as it might feature a new female villain.

There are theories Jessica Jones' sister, Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), will be the next villain in "Jessica Jones" Season 3" as the infamous Hellcat. The previous season ended with a huge problem between the two after Trish killed Jessica's mother, and the latter utterly blamed herself for it.

The introduction of Hellcat in "Jessica Jones" Season 3 may also be true after Trish seemed to imply she already had some superhero powers. In her appearance at the recent Comicpalooza, Krysten Ritter revealed some hints about her badass character. "She has a lot to live up to... maybe we'll see her be a bit of a hero," she said.

Meanwhile, "Jessica Jones" Season 3 is expected to be out this summer, per Disney's Q1 2019 Fiscal Year Earnings Call, via CBR. In a live webcast, a company's representative said the show would be the "source of revenue" during the "third fiscal quarter of 2019."

Hence, there are speculations "Jessica Jones" Season 3 may come out between the beginning of April and at the end of June. It also gives birth to the theories that the Marvel webseries will never be out until Marvel Studios releases "Avengers: Endgame" in April, so it is most likely to be seen between the months of May and June.

"Jessica Jones" Season 3 already began its production in June 2019, and it is expected to wrap up this February. The post-production process may take about four months, so the June release is the most probable.

As Netflix only announces its shows' release date when it is already near, it may take a few months more before it announces "Jessica Jones" Season 3's premiere. And with the recent cancellation of "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," and "Daredevil," some fans wonder if it will be the last outing of New York City's private investigator.
