Apple finally releases an official release date for the AirPower and AirPods 2.

After a series of speculations on Airpods 2's official release and various rumors whether the AirPower will be seen in the market or will just be a scrapped plan, Apple finally releases the answer. The two latest products from the tech giant are set to be released.

The BGR reports that a research note to clients posted on Sunday marked the end to the speculations and rumors about Apple's AirPower and AirPods 2. The note stated that the two much-awaited Apple products will be out in mass shipment by the first half of 2019.

The research note entitled "Forecasts of 2019 Apple new products, main upgrades, and key suppliers," was released by Ming-Chi Kuo an analyst from the TF International Securities analyst and a known reliable source when it comes to Apple product updates and releases. The note also contained a complete list of the line up of releases to be expected from the Cupertino based tech giant not only for the first half of the year for the second half as well.

Months before the Sunday announcement, both Apple's AirPower and AirPods 2 were in the news for facing some delays of the date of release and uncertainty of manufacturing. While those waiting for Apple's wireless pods release eagerly wait, those hoping for AirPower kept their fingers crossed.

Apple's AirPower which was officially introduced back in 2017 went through some delays and was feared to be halted production. Rumors surfaced that because the engineers had to deal with the overheating and interference issues, there is a possibility that Apple may not push through with the wireless charging mat.

Apple's silence on the AirPower's status added up to the users' indefinite waiting time. However, hopes began to spark when the company began to air TV ads for the wireless charging mat in February.

The Apple AirPower which will be released on the first half of 2019 is expected to have a smaller battery to make way for the wireless charging facility. It is rumored to be available for retail at around $150.

Apple's AirPods 2 on the other hand, which was equally as controversial as the AirPower for the past months is expected to have the design as of its predecessor, the AirPods 1. It is however rumored to have a more textured surface than the original to give way for an improved grip. A black color option will also be available for this AirPods next generation, according to the Apple Insider.
