Apple finally sets to release its 16-16.5-inch MacBook Pro for 2019 reliving the 2012 17-inch MacBook Pro.
Seven years after Apple stopped selling the 17-inch models of Mac Notebook, the tech giant is rumored of planning to release a 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro in line with their other 2019 releases. The rumor surfaced and was acquired by MacRumors on Sunday.
The rumor about the Apples 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro came from a research note released by Ming-Chi Kuo, TF International Securities analyst. The research note entitled "Forecasts of 2019 Apple new products, main upgrades, and key suppliers," was short but talked a lot about what to expect from the tech giant for this year.
The note specifies that Apple's 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro will come with an all-new design. It was also specified that this year's expected release of MacBook Pro will be one that is easy to upgrade.
Another proof that an all-new MacBook Pro could be out this 2019 is a render from one popular leak source. Ben Geskin, a known leaker posted a photo of the alleged Apple's 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro on his Instagram account on Monday.
The photo featured a wide flat screen of what seemed like a MacBook Pro. The photo was captioned 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019 with All-New Design | Concept."
The Instagram post that describes Apple's 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro to have a flat design gained more than 3,200 likes as of this writing. The description also said that it will feature minimal bezels and will have a Face ID which could probably be one of the reasons why it was flooded with more than 45 comments of various reactions from the account followers.
Back in 2017, Phil Schiller from Apple released a statement saying that users may not see the MacPro that year as the company is completely rethinking the product. He said that the tech giant wants to architect the product to keep it fresh for regular improvements so they set up a team to work hard for the improvements.
Schiller specified that because Apple's MacPro is a modular system by definition, they are focusing also on making it a pro-display. Apple's representative then promised to make the MacBook Pro designed for their demanding pro customers.
Holding on to Apple's 2017 promise, users are hopeful that the release of Apple's 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro could be a bump after the tech giant halted the release of the 17-inch MacBook Pro in 2012, according to The Verge.
