Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16, titled "Fault in Him," will be moving away from the crossover episodes. The next installment will be now focusing again on Firehouse 51, and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) will be in danger once more.

"During an emergency call, an unsuspecting Lt. Casey suddenly finds his life in peril," Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16's official synopsis read. "Grissom (guest star Gary Cole) warns the firehouse that they will need to gear up for performance evaluation. Otis (Yuriy Sardarov) discovers he won a raffle prize at a recent fundraiser and Brett (Kara Killmer) is met with challenges in her personal life."

Casey has been through a lot of dangers since the Chicago Fire started. So, fans are may already be used to see his life at risk in different crises and cliffhangers.

As a lead star, the show's writers will surely not kill Casey's role in Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16. There are many dangerous things that have happened to him throughout the series, but he always survives.

According to CarterMatt, Casey will always be in danger, given that he is a firefighter. Whenever there is a call, there is a big chance that he will be hurt or even die in service anytime. So, it may be a silly act to put him in danger often and sell it as a major event.

It also seems like Casey's life is in danger every episode, and Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16 will be no different. To recall, just earlier this season, he and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) jumped off a building and got trapped in his apartment with Naomi (Kate Villanova).

So from the looks of it, Casey will end up fine in Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16. The harder event of the episode seems to be seeing everyone dealing with Grissom.

Grissom is considered as the "thorn in everyone's side." He reportedly also wants to put Firehouse 51 "through its paces" as Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) seems a threat to his position as a commissioner. He is even known as a complicated guy with his history with Severide, but the latter would be not interested in keeping it.

Talking about Brett's story in Chicago Fire Season 7 Episode 16, she may have a hard time to date Chaplain (Gordon Clapp). Given that he is a "very religious man," there will be challenges Brett has to face with their new romance as it may be a different kind of relationship she will be in. "Fault in Him" will air on Wednesday, February 27, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
