Fans may once again see a familiar face returning to The Young and the Restless. With Doug Davidson's comeback as Paul Williams in the show's return in March, Eileen Davidson may also make a revisit to reprise her role as Ashley.
Fans want to see more The Young and the Restless original characters to return to the show. It is always a delight to see veteran actors and actress that have been part of the series since the start every once in a while.
One of the most wished returns in The Young and the Restless is Eileen Davidson, per Inquisitr. The 59-year-old star's character as Ashley left Genoa City to build a new cosmetics company and fly to Paris to rival Jabot's (Peter Bergman) My Beauty. She took all her patents that left the family company having a hard time to create new unique signature products.
Eileen Davidson is open to returning to The Young and the Restless. She even confirmed in a tweet back in October 2018 that she might make a comeback for "a party of something possibly down the line." As there are a lot of ways that Ashley can make a triumphant comeback, here are some of the possible ways.
As cited by Blasting News US, Ashley can return to Genoa City to attend Neil's, her former lover, memorial service after Kristoff St. John's death. She can also make a comeback due to the decline of her mother's, Dina (Marla Adams), health or her death in The Young and the Restless. Eileen Davidson can also make an appearance when her daughter, Abby (Melissa Ordway), gets wedded or to finalize Jabot's business.
From the looks of it, fans will always welcome Eileen Davidson's return in The Young and the Restless. When Ashley finally comes back, she will find her family in chaos. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Kerry (Alice Hunter), and Laureen are giving Billy (Billy Miller) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) a hard time at Jabot. Also, Abby finds it hard to plan a wedding while she has to deal with Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), who seems too obsessed with Arturo (Jason Canela).
Genoa City will also mourn Neil's death, while the J.T. mystery affects everyone in town. Things will also get "more hectic" for the Newmans and Abbotts in The Young and the Restless.
Eileen Davidson joined The Young and Restless in 1982. As one of the show's original characters and veteran actresses, fans will surely celebrate her return. The show airs every weekday on CBS.
