FBI season 1 episode 15 is set to release on CBS next week, and fans can expect to see a new face on the upcoming episode. It was revealed that Royal Pains alum and Designated Survivor actor Paulo Costanzo would appear as a guest star on the series.

CBS noted Costanzo would play the role of Spencer Briggs in FBI season 1 episode 15. Titled "Scorched Earth," the next episode focuses on a serial bomber who seems to be targeting the elite in Wall Street. Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki) were up on a mission to find the suspect who appeared to be dead-set on revenge. Meanwhile, Dana (Sela Ward) had to deal with Spencer Briggs (Paulo Costanzo) - a cocky profiler who was brought in to consult on the case.

As per CarterMatt, adding Costanzo as a guest star on FBI season 1 episode 15 could benefit the series. Created by Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf -- whose behind Law & Order franchise -- FBI has also been building its universe as well. One such benefit of having a franchise is that it allows you to introduce new and familiar faces, and then they'll reappear on the series later on.

The appearance of Costanzo in FBI season 1 episode 15 also hints the need of a profiler regularly to help them deal in several cases. Meanwhile, regarding the case of the next episode, the criminal could be someone who feels slighted or someone who's possibly trying to destroy the rich for the sake of someone else. Understanding the motives of this person could also suggest that there would be more complicated episodes coming on this season.

Meanwhile, in episode 14, titled "Exposed," the backstory of Maggie has been revealed. While investigating the case of a journalist who's been murdered, she found something that triggers her trauma from the past and becomes desperate to find answers on the case.

Viewers already know that Maggie lost her husband, so it's safe to assume it has something to do with it. But, other viewers speculated there might be something else that hurt Maggie from the past, and it might be revealed on the future episodes. But, surely, her character will continue to flesh out as the series was still on its first season.

FBI season 1 episode 6 will air on Tuesday, February 26 on the CBS at 9:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT.
