People all over the globe, both kids and adults, are very much excited for the upcoming sequel of Frozen. Before 2018 has been concluded, there are already speculations about its first trailer and when it’s going to be publicized. In fact, many believed that the Frozen 2 teasers will go viral before the holiday season. But, it is only this valentine’s season that Disney released its first trailer.

The two-minute official teaser trailer has hit the internet last February 13, 2019, and everyone’s going crazy about it. Various theories and speculations are already laid out all over the web which definitely adds to the overall hype for Frozen 2. Some of these theories include Elsa’s female love interest, the autumn setting, Anna's superpowers, and the alternate timelines.

Nevertheless, there are new updates and facts that emerged since the release of the official trailer.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the setting is “far out of Arendelle” in the sequel. So, it’s going to be a bit different than the first time.

The same is true for the tone of the film. If Frozen offered the musical type of Disney film, then the sequel seems to offer a much darker and more adventurous tone. Besides, films that are normally premiered in November are much more serious, darker, and bolder like Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and Twilight.

On another note, Kristen Bell (Anna) told Entertainment Weekly, as she teases the film, that there is definitely a character development for Anna. And these developments resonate her real-life experiences which made the animated film a “very intimate” one for her.

In addition to the teasers and trailers, Josh Gad (Olaf) tweeted an image of a snowflake-like crystal that seems to be an additional Frozen 2 teaser poster. He mentioned that looking at it closely will reveal a few surprises. Avid fans tried to decode this tweet as the image is very similar to the crystals that surrounded Anna in the official teaser trailer.

Bell has retweeted an image as well, with an original caption of 'who is She', that shows a young girl who resonates well Anna’s current appearance. Many theorists believe that this new character will be voiced by Evan Rachel Wood as she was speculated by Variety to be in talks for the sequel along with Sterling K. Brown.

However, no one is really sure about the plots. After all, Disney is quite “protective of its plotlines for its films” considering that the franchise is a box-office hit that garnered more than $1 billion, EconoTimes stated. And sadly, fans would still need to wait for nine more months to see Frozen 2 as it is set to premiere on November 22, 2019.
