Angelina Jolie was, once again, a head-turner as she arrived at the opening night of Museum of Modern Art on Thursday. The actress, who is now 43-years-old, is looking all glamorous with her sleek V-neck top along with plain black tailored pants. And with her, four of her kids - Shiloh, 12, Zahara, 14, Maddox, 17, and Pax, 15.
Although Angelina’s two youngest kids, Knox, 10 and Vivienne, 10, are not with them during the night of the event, the rest of the gang are seen to enjoy as they made it a ‘family affair’, sources stated.
The event is an annual celebration for the museum’s Festival of International Nonfiction Film and Media. This year, the festival offers 17 documentary films and the majority of which are all directed by female directors and filmmakers. According to Variety, this is ‘very important choice’ as they look forward to showcasing and celebrating the wide opportunities for women in the film industry.
Included in this celebration is the premiere of Prune Nourry’s film, Serendipity. The film is all about the artist’s breast cancer diagnosis and battle. And this has become a very intimate film for Angelina Jolie.
In 2013, Angelina told The New York Times that she carries a “faulty” gene, BRCA1. And this increased the actress’ risks of developing breast and ovarian cancer by almost 80%. As a result, she endured a preventive double mastectomy which she shared as her ‘medical choice.’
Angelina Jolie posed for photo ops with her children along with Prune Nourry during the night of the event. Both in serious and fun ways, the family posed beside the official poster of Serendipity. In it, the portrait pictures a shirtless image that shows the exterior of one bosom and the interior display of the other. And experiencing this with most of her children is truly a fulfilling moment for the actress.
Sadly, the youngest ones are not there with them. But even so, Jon Voight, Angie’s father, shared to an insider that Angelina is ‘a very invested mom’ and that she spends every second of the day loving and cherishing each of her children. And while Brad is no longer in the picture, Jon always prays for the family, ‘including Brad,’ he adds.
Today, the custody battle between the actress and Brad is still ongoing, Angelina Jolie has primary custody of the six kids. And everyone is hoping well for the family’s healing and recovery.
