It comes to no surprise why many fans are asking the people behind the American crime drama web television series for another season due to its fascinating plot and commendable characters. Recent reports suggest that the upcoming second installment of the popular web series will cover the Atlanta child murders that transpired from 1979 to 1981. Would this mean that Mindhunter Season 2 is gorier than the first season?

EconoTimes shared that Edmund Kemper (Cameron Britton) would be back for another run. The reputable news outlet shared that the 32-year-old American actor is likely to appear on Mindhunter Season 2 to reprise his role as a disturbed serial killer. However, Britton made it clear that nothing is finalized as of yet and things might change anytime.

"I have absolutely no idea whether or not I am in it," Britton told TV Guide in an interview when asked if he will still be involved in the forthcoming Mindhunter Season 2."It is because there are so many serial killers that the guys at the FBI have to interview," the actor went on. Despite the uncertainty hounding Britton's character in the imminent new installment, avid followers of the series believe that he would still appear in the show because of his exemplary and effective portrayal in Season 1.

Aside from Britton, other personalities expected to make an appearance on Mindhunter Season 2 include Damon Herriman, who is also playing as the infamous murderer Quentin Tarantino in the One Upon A Time in Hollywood movie. Reports suggest that the 48-year-old Aussie star will portray the role of Charles Manson. However, it remains to be seen if he would be a friend or a foe in the second installment.

Original cast members Jonathan Groff who plays Holden Ford, Holt McCallany who plays Bill Tench, Anna Torv who plays Wendy, Hannah Gross who plays Debbie, and Cotter Smith who plans Shepard are expected to make a comeback in Mindhunter Season 2. Other characters who are likely to return also include Jerry Brudos (Happy Anderson), Nancy Tench (Stacey Roca), Greg Smith (Joe Tuttle), Mark Ocasek (Alex Morf), Peter Dean (Michael Park), and Roger Wade (Marc Kudisch).

As for its plot, Mindhunter Season 2 will, reportedly, cover the killings of 28 people in Atlanta from 1979 to 1981. McCallany also shared that avid viewers of the show would see more of Dennis Rader, who is a real-life serial killer.
